End of competition Thursday, January 10, 2008 Wed signified the end of the round robin for interhall Cchess. As expected, we din make it through to the semi or even quarter final. 2 team losses today says it all. We performed as hall 14 normally does, which is quite lousy. The day started off quite well, as I killed of my opponent pretty quickly, but nonetheless, the other matches are not as well performed, and we lost to Hall 13 2-3. This loss meant that our team dun have any chances of making it thru to the next stage. By then the team wasnt relli very interested in competing, and lost 0-5 to hall 9. So my loss yest wasnt the killer blow as we din even win hall 13. So my current record in this games was 4-2-1, can be considered ok only as only the hall 8 and 9 opponent relli pushed me in my game. Shld have done much better against hall 12 opponent. Shall take this as an enriching experience and see if the hall can do better for the games next year. Interhall CChess Wednesday, January 09, 2008 This is the first time i officially entered a cchess competition. Actually it has been a long time since i last played cchess, but still felt the urge to join the interhall cchess, thinking that it would be fun. Haven been relli in such a competitive mood probably since SYF in JC. Is like having forget all the competitive spirit that was there all along. 2 Days of competition were over, and seriously speaking i felt that our team's fate is sort of like at the edge of the cliff,slight down and will be on free fall le. The record reads 2-3 , 5-0, 3-2, 2.5-2.5, 0.5-4.5. Which is really mid table only,dun think we can make it to thurs which is the semi at all. Did the most stupid mistake in the first game today and it cost the team a pt. A damn valuable point. 3.5-1.5 is definitely a reasonable result for the team rather than 2.5-2.5, but I lost it in my game. Perhaps I was too anxious to attack, but definitely I dun think i can really forgive myself if I cost the team the chance to get into the semis. 1 move, 1 stupid move, mabbe i have really sabo my teammates... Nonetheless, they always say you have to move on, and try to win the other games. But seriously, I will always keep this game in mind and really work harder and help the team get through. Hope for the Best and be ready to tackle the worst scenario ! |
