Army Half Marathon Sunday, August 27, 2006 Always see Sunday morning as a Slping time after a long nite of soccer on sat... nv expect myself to be actually wake up at 5 to get to padang to run... This yr running 10km, not relli wat AHM suggest.But nonetheless still quite long, cuz long time nv go run liao le...especially after the 2 weeks leave, totally slacken le. Reach there arnd 7, the place was totally messy n swarmed by army personels. By the time the run started it was already like 8am, we lined up on the shears bridge. the route was shears bridge to Sg concert hall then up the express way then go thru suntec then go to river hongbao then back to padang. The AHM is acty quite underprepared and poorly planned. There is so many pple tt acty it was squeezy n jammed up, muz keep on overtake pple to get forward and the water pt always set at some choke pt then everyone stop n jam the place up. We ended up climbing over barricade so tt we can run on the side rd which is empty. Rain started pouring down when i reach behind ritz carlton there, totally soaked to the skin lo but continued runnning. Quite enjoyed the feeling of running in the rain...perhaps i seldom do this bah... By the time i reached back was arnd 1 hr+, was pretty tired but was happy tt i was able to run faster than i did last time in camp, mabbe it is the cooling rain i guess. All our belongings were wet when we returned, organizers shld relli provide trash bag for us to put or belongings lo or at least some shelter bah. AHM was a pretty gd experience nonetheless, especially a good chance to meet up frens frm other units but doubt i wil do it again cuz gg ORD soon lo!!! Ah wat luck Saturday, August 26, 2006 Was about to log off liao... decided shld check out ssdc website to see if got earlier date for my FTT.... To My pleasant surprise, there is another earlier date... i din believe myself n refresh the pg a few times, then immediately cancel last bk n bk this day... Hope this is the date i pass my FTT : 2nd Sept Lifes a dilemma Thursday, August 24, 2006 When in camp always hope tt can bk out n enjoy myself, But when on leave, too sian until i wonder y not go back camp n talk to the guys in camp... Lifes such a bore... 12 Hr non stop gaming Basically decided tt I m quite broke for this month. Also there is noone to go out wif, Took out my old old sega saturn and played old old games... PLayed a strategy RPG game, which i have nv been able to complete. (becuz this game cannot saved!!!). Played frm 1pm to 1am, quite crazy to play non stop for 12 hr, i relli wonder y m i doing it... Mabbe boredom is relli getting to me... hope to have something fun to do tmr.... Boring boring leave period... Happy Birthday Saturday, August 19, 2006  Nice Bday cake u have got.... Finally took the basic theory test today. Passed it at one go...not bad considered tt i only study yest night only. But last time army test abt the same i gues, so it aint a problem. The Touch screen thingy a bit not sensitive, end up poking the screen a lot of time to get the ans in. Scary part of the test probably the wait, and the guy hu failed next to me... Relli anxious tt i dun end up like him. Imagine doing the test n after tt one screen tt Slap "FAILED" in ur face... V happy tt i Passed and hope tt the final theory oso wun be a problem for me... Class 3 license here i come |
