Tuesday With Morrie Thursday, June 29, 2006 It was a bestseller tt attracted me. It looked like the Five person hu went to heaven book. Both are as intriguing n cuz pple to rethink abt their lives. Wat happens in the books is tt Mitch meet up with his ex prof, hu taught him alot of not knowledge but experiences with life. It makes pple rethink the priority in lives n wats relli impt in life. The main themes are: Death, Fear, Aging, Greed, Marriage, Family, Society, Forgivness and a meaningful life. They end up talking abt big issues in lives, while morrie fights with a incurable disease. The optimistism tt morrie have n his insights bring a new perspective to Mitche life. It is definitely a Book tt is worth reading. Felt relli song to eat all da meat lo. long time nv go out n eat until like tt le. A point abt customer service, the manager din want to give us 4 tables when we have arnd 14 pple. Simply refuse when we told him tt it was quite squeezy. realli is there a need to squueze n prove lousy service or not... Nvm moving on, the food was ok la not relli great. The meat was average, but the cooked food was not bad especially the prawn fritters. The best food of the day was perhaps the ice cream waffle, which was heavenly. Next we went to play pool. Today was quite a bad luck day, total shot in arnd 6 black balls. Even innoculous ball, i juz wanna to open up the table, oso hit the black ball. End up saboing my teammates a lot. better train up if i wanna play pools again man, it was a disgrace. dunno y today so shuai. next went window shopping in both suntec n marina sq. went into courts n was surprised tt there was a gaming station for pple. now relli tempted by the xbox n com liao le lo the graphics are great, the games are new, it could not be better. Hope that the mod will come out soon n i will definitely cheong to buy. next went to talk cock at Mc as usual n saw zheng rong(DJ). Hope england will improve further n make it to the final. hark: the music cafe Saturday, June 24, 2006 A new chill out spot in the city is the Hark. Situated next to paradiz centre, this min ge cafe is cosy n nice. Somemore there is also pub in the same building, so can go over to watch soccer. This place was introduced to me by Loy, soccer kahkis. He know one of the teacher there, huiying to be exact. Huiyin is v frenly n likeable. Hark has different theme for each day of the week. Mon : teaching Tues:ladies night Wed :Mens night Thur:competition night Fri/Sat: Free Singing Sun: hark performers We normally hang out there on Sat after soccer, at nite. This place is popular becoz got lot of gals there, and is pretty nice for one to enjoy the singing. Guess this is the growing up of our grp, upgrading to such place. The guitarist there is funny wif his words n sometime even laugh at others. hope tt we will have more enjoyable time there... World cup Friday, June 16, 2006 Ole Ole Ole Ole... World cup start again, in germany this time. This is the first time i m relli into the soccer thing now. Of cuz i m a supporter of England, due to so much EPL. Ho[e tt they can make it this time round, but with wayne out, it seems pretty hard. It was a relaxed 4 days actually thou no doubt it was still outfield. Heard a lot of shit of other pple in other sites kenna kiap by CSMs. Perhaps it is a good experience, got NSmen to act wen arnd. The staffs were relli frenly, especially staff Yao, he communicate wif us well. The main in charge perhaps v gd for welfare purposes, brought us to bath and canteen n stuffs, only bad point perhaps is smoke too much. The lao jiao relli is smoke like free one. Think they smoke arnd 50 sticks per day lo, flooding our slping area wif smoke, cuzing me n wenjie to cough away. (Iz this call smoker cough?) Relli hope tt i will recover quickly frm this irritation of throat. At site found a high stone hill, it has a spectacular view of the surrounding. Perfect for viewing of sun rise n sun set, the environment gd to get close to nature. breing away frm the city, the night view of cuz is v nice, wif lotsa star(starry starry night). Juz another quiz Sunday, June 04, 2006 TV show : "San Geng" Saturday, June 03, 2006 this is a boring boring friday as usual... watched the movie on chnl u, but missed the first part abt the doll one.. nevertheless caught glimpses of the thai doll one. Quite scary i think, or mabbe it is juz the corelation of fear of another race. But the best part of the show is perhaps the last segment, abt leon lai one. It says abt a guy hu kept n preserve the body of his wife for 3 years, to get rid of the cancerous cells n ty to revive her. It may seem quite rubbish n stupid. and zeng zhi wei comedian come n act this show liek not relli convincing. The guy everyday washes wife wif solution n clean her groom her n even talk to her in the mirror. Realli is love has no boundaries sia. The total commitment the couple have, relli n truly go past the phrase "Thou death shall separate us". The guy was killed in the end after being knocked down by car. The most sentimental part of the movie is the tape which records the wife talking abt their relationship, which is simply touching. The final twist is tt the video actually captures tt the wife was doing exactly the same thing to leon in the end. Which of cuz signifies the cycle continues, but in the end, showed a scene where leon n wife n kids finally come tog for a family foto. Despite a weird ending, muz say tt this show was pretty touching n makes me think abt the true meaning of love, commitment and cherishing others arnd u. |
