SG vs Laos Wednesday, January 17, 2007 It has been a while since i last went to National stadium. Met up with Max Zhiping Zhebing wayne Kenbang for dinner. wonder y the whole area only seems to have steamboat only lo, only found a indian kopitiam after a long walk. The walk to stadium was damn long, especially when PA closed the door, which was a shortcut thru the place. There wasnt relli a lot of pple there to support Singapore Team. Papers report only 5000+ pple there only, especially when this is quite a big competition. Perhaps it is becuz it is a working day... The game was definitely worth the money, wif 11 goals scored in 90 mins. Singapore was overwhelming the Laos frm the moment referee started the match. Laos was physically weaker n shorter n Singapore was captalizing on these advantages in everyway. Laotians are also giving away ball n possession like freebies. Within 10 min 2 nil up le, getting boring actually . But hte secong haf was gd, with singapore getting into the act n starting to attack more aggressively, which was repaid wif 8 goals. With Noh alam Sha getting the monster bicycle kick at the end. The crowd was simply enjoying the show. They were even Worshipping the striker for his marksmanship. Gd game n gd performance, hope tt Singapore team will excel in the championships. |
