Back frm China Wednesday, December 27, 2006 Finally back frm my trip... experienced snowing, had some great food, did some shopping,learn some skiing, bargaining, and froze in china.As this is not the season to buy clothes, ended up buying shoes n belts which are still considered cheap.Went to historic places and saw different architectures there. Terrible to be in Haerbin at-18 degree, nearly froze my toes n lips off. But overall like the not so cold weather in shenyang n beijing, pretty comfy actually. k shall blog more when i upload my photos, thou i a bit lazy... Overseas trip Sunday, December 17, 2006 Erm... Going to China with my family, after a break of abt 2 yrs. Haven been able to go overseas with them since i entered Army. Well hope tt this trip will be nice n fun but, i know tt it will be freezing. (and dun think too much) Frozen Thursday, December 14, 2006 I nearly froze to death on 74 on my way home... another day Wednesday, December 13, 2006 Went Desmond house to play mahjong today wif roger weehao... Desmond thanks for lending us ur house... First time playing mahjong since wallaby, after the drubbing there. Was pretty lucky, unlike in aussie, where i was damn suay. Played frm arnd 2 to 8, nv played so long be4, was pretty shag, but happy tt luck is coming back. After tt we went for dinner and was discussing, whether we will be able to have a gathering at some chalet arnd the CNY period. Was thinking of Aranda, COsta sands or even LOyang bungalow. Shall see wat we can get at such a short notice... On the way back, there was an accident involving a Motorcycle n Bus on ECP, causing a big jam... The second n third lane are quite empty but many vehicles simply juz steered closer to kaypoh. When my bus passed the accident area, everyone on board simply juz wanted to catch a glimpse of wat happened. It is like they have nv seen an accident be4 like tt. Sometime i wonder y Singaporeans are so kaypoh as to slow down to see the accident. Conclusion----> Traffic jams are not caused by accidents, but rather the kaypohness of passerbys. ORD lo Tuesday, December 12, 2006 Ar Arnd 3 today, i offically become Mr again... No more communal living, no more early breakfast, no more pt, no more army basically. To many, it is a good to end army life. To many, it is freedom after 2 years. To many, they cannot wait for this to happen. Some say it is juz another phase of life. Some say it is 2 years wasted. Some say they juz dun care. To me, army ends means tt i gonna miss lotsa people frm camp. Some whom i have spend meorable time tog wif. The fun , joy and laughter we had in camp. The common grumbling abt stuff we do, the never ending wait for bk out, the complaints how bad commanders are. Miss the beloved bunk, the Xbox, soccer session, JP walkabout. No longer can i drive a vehicle, fire a weapon, march in a huge parade, or even go thru SOC. No matters wat u do outside , nothing beats getting a few of these guys to sit around n talk cock.
